Flint Torul

Flint Torul was a Jedi Knight of the Human species (a male) who dedicated himself to both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic. During the Clone Wars, he held the rank of General within the Grand Army of the Republic, a conflict which ultimately led to his demise. What the Jedi Order did not know was that Torul had fathered a child, who outlived him by many decades.

Biography

Possessing sensitivity to the Force, Flint Torul was identified by the Jedi Order and subsequently brought into their academy situated on Coruscant for training in the ways of the Force. Spending a significant portion of his life within the Jedi Temple, Torul successfully completed his Trials of Knighthood and was elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight. When the Clone Wars broke out between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Jedi Knight Torul answered the summons from the Jedi High Council without hesitation, assuming the position of General in the newly established Grand Army of the Republic.

In the war's final year, Torul was stationed on Belderone when the Separatists launched an assault on the planet. While assisting with the hurried evacuation efforts, Torul engaged in a clandestine relationship with a local woman named Zana, resulting in a child. Shortly after this encounter, Torul was traveling with 27 other Jedi when General Grievous attacked the evacuation convoy. Grievous, utilizing the immense firepower of his heavily armed and modified Providence-class carrier/destroyer known as the Invisible Hand, obliterated all of the Jedi along with numerous refugee vessels.

Torul was survived by his lover and his son, Flint. His memory would serve as a positive influence for his son during an increasingly dark period, as the Galactic Empire systematically eradicated all remnants of the Republic and the Jedi Order. Despite the positive impact of his father's Jedi legacy on young Flint, the young man succumbed to the dark side of the Force after his mother's death and became the Sith apprentice of the Dark Lady Lumiya. Ultimately, however, Flint redeemed himself and became a respected ambassador to the Firrerreo.
