Freeno was a miner of the Er'Kit species (male), toiling in an aurodium mine on the planet of Elphrona during the High Republic Era. On one particular day, while trying to extract a precious kantak crystal, Freeno triggered a cave-in within the mine. But for the intervention of the Jedi Bell Zettifar and Loden Greatstorm, who also encouraged the Er'Kit to think about more altruistic choices going forward, he would have died in the collapsed mine.
The character of Freeno was featured in "Set For Life," a narrative penned by Charles Soule and included in The High Republic Adventures Annual 2021. Its release date was December 15, 2021.
