Frija Torlock, daughter of Imperial Governor Lexhannen Torlock, participated in a two-part scheme designed to wrest control of the Imperial planet Corulag.
Frija, secretly involved romantically with Admiral Droon, successfully persuaded him to assist her in seizing power over Corulag. Their scheme involved framing Governor Torlock as a traitor, leading to his removal from his position. With Torlock out of the picture, Droon would then assume the role of Governor.
However, Governor Torlock uncovered their plot and initiated plans to flee Corulag. Although he successfully escaped, he first activated two Human replica droids that were disguised as himself and as his daughter. Droon's forces eventually apprehended the droid replica of Torlock, but they quickly determined that the real Torlock had managed to escape. Through interrogation of the droid, they also discovered the existence of the droid copy of Frija. Concerned about her droid counterpart, Frija instructed Droon to dismantle it. To accomplish this, Droon engaged Black Sun assassins to destroy both droids, making it appear as though the Rebellion was responsible. Droon believed that this deception would divert suspicion from the true whereabouts of Torlock and pave the way for him to claim the Governor's position.
However, Frija and Droon had not anticipated the intervention of Darth Vader and his operative, Wrenga Jixton. Jix infiltrated the base and learned about the scheme. Following a chase in which Droon attempted to eliminate both the evidence and Jix, Jix escaped Imperial custody and confronted the treacherous pair. During the final confrontation, Droon attempted to place the blame for the entire plan on Frija. In response, Frija seized a blaster and attempted to shoot her betraying lover. However, Jix reacted faster and shot her in the chest. Jix apprehended Droon and presented him to Vader. Meanwhile, Frija's replica droid escaped with her "father," and the two made their way to the remote world of Hoth.
Following the Battle of Endor, the Mind-witch S'ybll employed an illusion of Frija to ensnare Luke Skywalker on the planet Tarnoonga. Skywalker eventually discerned the truth, and the illusion dissipated. The mind-witch intended to propose an alliance with the emerging Jedi Knight to overthrow the Emperor. Upon Skywalker's refusal, he was compelled to kill the witch.
