Lexhannen Torlock held the position of Imperial Governor overseeing the planet of Corulag. Consumed by paranoia, he was convinced that Rebel forces were plotting to seize control of Corulag. As a result, Torlock dedicated significant financial resources to bolster the planet's defenses, while also secretly investing in the development of an escape strategy. He secretly commissioned the Imperial scientist, Massad Thrumble, to fabricate Human replica droids modeled after himself and his daughter, Frija.
Contrary to Torlock's expectations, the threat originated not from the Rebels, but from his own daughter. Frija, driven by her ambition to rule Corulag, conspired with Torlock's most trusted advisor, Admiral Droon, to falsely accuse Torlock of treason. Upon discovering the plot, Torlock fled Corulag. Before his departure, he activated the two droids to serve as distractions. Admiral Droon's forces apprehended the false Torlock, subsequently realizing that the real Torlock had escaped Corulag. Droon's forces employed a hologram of Torlock to create the illusion that their Governor remained on the planet. This deception also resulted in the capture of the droid resembling Frija.
Meanwhile, Darth Vader dispatched his agent, Wrenga Jixton, to apprehend Torlock, whom he believed to be a traitor. Vader later discovered that Torlock had been unjustly accused, leading him to execute Droon for his betrayal. Sometime following the Battle of Hoth, the mind-witch S'ybll impersonated Torlock's daughter in an attempt to gain Luke Skywalker's confidence. While masquerading as Frija, S'ybll informed Skywalker that Lehannen had been executed for betraying the Empire. However, due to the deception, the reliability of this information remained uncertain.
