Fur-Bite served as a crew member of the Blazing Claw pirate collective, helmed by Captain Gunda Mabin aboard the vessel Bloody Bones. In 10 BBY, Mabin seized the book later known as the Smuggler's Guide from the captured pirate Hondo Ohnaka. Inside, she found the coordinates for a treasure vault hidden on the moon Moldour 14 by the Pirate Queen Maz Kanata.
Driven by the desire for the treasure, Mabin directed the Bloody Bones to Moldour 14. Upon arrival, a mutiny broke out among seven crew members, but Mabin and her loyalists killed them. Subsequently, the crewmember Poppy discovered the island sinkhole on Moldour 14 concealing the vault. Fur-Bite then opened the vault, only to be killed by a trap that launched a saberdart into the pirate's neck. With the remaining traps inactive, Mabin and the surviving crew secured the valuable meleenium, hyperbarides, and prismatic crystals within before departing the moon. Mabin later referenced Fur-Bite's demise in her writings within the Smuggler's Guide.
