G

G was a Caarite male employed by the Metatheran Cartel, a trading enterprise, at their base located on the moon Tilnes during the era of the Clone Wars. Around 21 BBY, G was exposed to an experimental virus, which caused him to transform into a crazed mutant creature. After this transformation, he was manipulated by Believer Sith cultists named Aris and Osia into launching an attack on a team of freelance agents investigating the Cartel's Tilnes base.

Biography

G refers to a male Caarite who was an employee of the Metatheran Cartel at their secret base on the moon Tilnes during the Clone Wars. Approximately in 21 BBY, the Believers Sith cult released an experimental virus within the Cartel's Tilnes facility, with the intention of it being fatal to Caarites. Every member of the base's staff, including G, ended up infected with the virus. Coincidentally, G, along with two other Caarites named Ko Bas and U, survived the exposure to the virus and were mutated into immense, deranged beings with limited reasoning abilities.

G, along with the other two mutants, remained in the deeper parts of the base, avoiding the front room. To slow the decomposition of their food source, they fed on the remains of their former colleagues who had succumbed to the virus, relocating many of the bodies to a larger, cooler room on the base's southern side. However, their food supply dwindled in the following days.

A Believer strike team arrived at the Cartel Tilnes base two weeks after the virus release to check on the virus's results. At that time, G and U were in the installation's security office, where they encountered the Believers Aris and Osia, who were seeking refuge after being attacked by Ko Bas. By communicating in the native Caarite language and using the Force to influence them, the two Believers subdued the mutant Caarites, bringing G and U under their command.

The heroes of Cularin, a group of freelance agents, arrived at the Cartel base three hours after the Believer strike team. The Believers decided to prevent the operatives from leaving the base with evidence of the anti-Caarite virus, so G and U accompanied Aris and Osia to the facility's front room to set up an ambush. During the ensuing fight, Osia ordered the mutant Caarites to eliminate the freelance agents, and G and U attacked. Ultimately, the heroes of Cularin defeated the mutants and the Believer pair and successfully escaped the base.

Personality and traits

The anti-Caarite virus drastically altered G, transforming him into an enormous, enraged creature. This transformation left him in an irrational state and also granted him immunity to further exposure to the Believers' virus. In his altered state, G possessed similar physical strength to the mutant Caarite U but was weaker than Ko Bas. Although he was once able to read and write Basic, Caarite, and Filordian, his mutation left him able to understand only Caarite.

Behind the scenes

G's sole appearance in Star Wars Legends continuity was in Caaried Away, a 2003 roleplaying module by Morrie Mullins that was part of the Metatheran Caution trilogy within RPGA's Living Force campaign.

In Caaried Away, players assume the roles of the heroes of Cularin, and G can be either defeated or killed during his encounter with the freelance agents. Alternatively, the player characters can be immobilized by G, U, and the two Believers, leading to G and U departing the Cartel base with Aris and Osia. The adventure also suggests that the player characters might study G and U to enhance their understanding of the virus. Furthermore, Caaried Away indicates that if the player characters have limited roleplaying experience, either G or U can be excluded from the adventure altogether.
