The Golan-II Defense Platform represented a type of space station. These stations were produced by Golan Arms and were deployed by the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire. Considerably bigger and possessing more powerful weaponry compared to the Golan I Space Defense Platform, the Golan-II, alongside the Golan III defense platform, saw numerous units positioned in the orbits of Coruscant and other strategically significant Imperial Core Worlds for defensive purposes. During the period spanning 3 ABY to 4 ABY, a platform of this kind, integrated within Coruscant's defensive network, was activated by the Naval Intelligence Agency. This activation was in response to a Rebel airborne attack targeting Coruscant; the platform successfully destroyed an RZ-1 A-wing interceptor before the remaining attackers bypassed its position.
