Goluud Minor, a world dedicated to mining, existed within the Goluud Minor system situated in the Core Worlds. Around 5000 BBY, a fresh mining colony took root on the planet. Merchant lord Ssk Kahorr dispatched the drone ship Zeta Five laden with essential mining tech and tools, intending to sell them to the wealthiest miners of the colony. However, the Zeta Five's journey to Goluud Minor was cut short; a solar flare, erupting from the volatile red supergiant star Primus Goluud, obliterated it during a layover in the Primus Goluud system.
Within the Core Worlds, specifically in the Arrowhead region of the Slice, lay the Goluud Minor system, and it contained Goluud Minor, a world known for its mining activities.
Around the year of 5000 BBY, a new mining colony had been established on Goluud Minor. Ssk Kahorr, a Cha'a merchant lord from Koros Major, became a significant investor in this colony. In that same year, the miners on Goluud Minor required updated mining tech and components. Kahorr responded by dispatching his Cha'a drone ship, the Zeta Five, to deliver these supplies and sell them to the colony's richest and most competitive miners.
The Cha'a merchant decided to route the Zeta Five via the Goluud Corridor, a recently discovered hyperspace route that necessitated a navicomputer recalibration stop in the Primus Goluud system. While in that system, a sudden solar flare from the unstable red supergiant star, Primus Goluud, destroyed the ship. Consequently, the vessel never reached its intended destination of Goluud Minor.
Goluud Minor first appeared in the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi comic book series, specifically in the first issue of The Golden Age of the Sith story arc. This issue, penned by Kevin J. Anderson and illustrated by Dario Carrasco, Jr., was released on October 1, 1996. The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book co-authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, placed the Goluud Minor system, and therefore Goluud Minor, within grid square L-10.
