In the time leading up to the Great Hyperspace War, a Cha'a merchant lord named Ssk Kahorr operated within the Koros system. Gorrm was in his employ as an assistant, and he was frequently accompanied by a small insectoid being called Tk'lokk perched upon his shoulder. In the year 5000 BBY, Kahorr dispatched a drone ship, the Zeta Five, along the Goluud Corridor hyperspace route to deliver essential supplies to a mining colony located on Goluud Minor. A solar flare tragically annihilated the Zeta Five, resulting in the complete loss of its cargo. Consumed by rage, Kahorr dispatched assassins to eliminate the siblings who had charted the course, Gav and Jori Daragon. However, Odan-Urr and Memit Nadill, two Jedi Knights, intervened, thwarting the assassins' attempts. While the Daragons managed to escape the system, Jori later returned with a startling revelation: she had discovered the long-lost Sith Empire, who were poised to launch an attack against the Galactic Republic. Seizing an opportunity, Kahorr confiscated Daragon's ship, the Starbreaker 12, as compensation for the destruction of the Zeta Five. Subsequently, the Cha'a merchant embarked on a test flight to evaluate the ship's capabilities, only to be obliterated by an approaching Sith fleet, resulting in Kahorr's demise.
A male Cha'a by the name of Ssk Kahorr functioned as a merchant within the Koros system during the era preceding the Great Hyperspace War. As a young Cha'a, Kahorr consumed his fellow hatchlings, an experience he credited with instilling in him a deep appreciation for success. Later in his life, after rising to the position of merchant lord, Kahorr employed Gorrm as his assistant. He was also frequently observed with a diminutive insectoid creature named Tk'lokk perched upon his shoulder. In 5000 BBY, shortly following the Unification Wars within the Koros system, Kahorr dispatched a drone ship known as Zeta Five to the Goluud system, where a new mining colony had been established on Goluud Minor. The ship carried vital components and equipment essential for the survival of the nascent colony. Through informants within the Navigators' Guild, Kahorr learned of a recently discovered hyperlane, the Goluud Corridor, which purportedly would reduce the ship's hyperspace travel time by a third, resulting in a hundredfold increase in profits. Gorrm expressed reservations about the route's safety, noting its perilous proximity to the system's volatile red giant star, Primus Goluud. Nevertheless, Kahorr dismissed these concerns, asserting his confidence in the Navigators' Guild safety protocols and declaring that only cowards would succumb to such fears.

Despite the risks, Zeta Five successfully navigated the Goluud Corridor to reach its destination. However, the ship encountered unforeseen danger: increased stellar activity from Primus Goluud resulted in violent solar flares that destroyed the ship and its cargo. Upon learning of the ship's destruction, Kahorr flew into a rage and instructed Gorrm to identify the individual who had approved the hyperlane so that he could exact revenge. Discovering that Shodon Ko of the Navigators' Guild was responsible, Kahorr had him murdered and cannibalized his remains. Subsequently, Kahorr ordered Gorrm to locate the beings who had first charted the route. These individuals were the hyperspace navigators Gav and [Jori Daragon](/article/jori_daragon], siblings. Upon learning of their identities, Kahorr dispatched two assassins to eliminate them, intending to consume their corpses as well. However, the dispatched bounty hunters were instead killed by two Jedi, Memit Nadill and Odan-Urr, who happened to be present in the area. Facing mounting debts, the Daragons fled the Koros system aboard their ship Starbreaker 12, which they were forced to reclaim from the repair dock owner Aarrba.

After commandeering the Starbreaker 12, the Daragons initiated a random hyperspace jump and stumbled upon the Sith Empire, which had been isolated from the galaxy since the Hundred-Year Darkness nearly two millennia prior. There, they encountered Naga Sadow, a Dark Lord of the Sith who intended to follow the Daragons back to the Galactic Republic and wage war against the government that had exiled them after the Hundred-Year Darkness. Gav Daragon remained with Sadow, who allowed Jori to return to the Republic. Unbeknownst to Jori, a tracking device had been affixed to the Starbreaker 12 to guide the Sith to the Republic. Jori returned to the Koros system aboard the Starbreaker 12 and landed in the city of Cinnagar, where she recounted tales of Sith militarization to anyone who would listen. However, her pleas for assistance against the Sith threat were ignored. A crowd quickly gathered around the Starbreaker 12, including Koros soldiers who arrested her for stealing the Starbreaker 12 and firing on Cinnagar security ships during their escape.
Ssk Kahorr, accompanied by Gorrm, seized the opportunity to push his way to the front of the crowd, asserting that the Starbreaker 12 was rightfully his as partial compensation for the destruction of the Zeta Five. Kahorr instructed Gorrm to provide the relevant records to the Cinnagar authorities. In a swift decision by the Merchants' Guild, the Starbreaker 12 was awarded to the Cha'a merchant, as the deadline for appeals had passed while Daragon was in the Sith Empire. Daragon was promptly imprisoned and sent to the colony world of Ronika. Kahorr, now the owner of the Starbreaker 12, decided to test its capabilities. Suddenly, a proximity alarm sounded. When Kahorr inquired about the source of the alarm, Gorrm informed him that a large number of ships were emerging from hyperspace nearby. It turned out to be a massive battle fleet: the Sith had followed Jori Daragon back to the Koros system, targeting the Starbreaker 12. Before Kahorr and Gorrm could escape, the Sith opened fire on the ship, destroying the Starbreaker 12 and killing Ssk Kahorr.
Ssk Kahorr was an astute businessbeing, capable of identifying opportunities to potentially increase profits a hundredfold through the use of the Goluud Corridor, although that venture ultimately failed. He also skillfully maneuvered himself into control of the Starbreaker 12 following Jori Daragon's arrest.
Kahorr was consumed by rage upon learning of the destruction of Zeta Five and readily ordered the deaths of Shodon Ko and the Daragons. Kahorr possessed a taste for flesh and eagerly anticipated devouring the Daragons. While he missed the chance to eat Jori Daragon, he derived great satisfaction from depriving her of the Starbreaker 12, disregarding her pleas for mercy. The Cha'a was particularly domineering towards his subordinates, especially Gorrm, and maintained a close owner-pet relationship with Tk'lokk, whom he permitted to rest on his shoulder for the majority of the time. Kahorr advocated for enjoying one's successes, emphasizing the difficulty of achieving them.
Ssk Kahorr made his debut in Tales of the Jedi: The Golden Age of the Sith, a story arc within the Tales of the Jedi comic series, penned by Kevin J. Anderson and released in 1996. He later appeared in The Golden Age of the Sith's sequel arc, Tales of the Jedi: The Fall of the Sith Empire, where his character met his end. In these appearances, Kahorr was illustrated by Dario Carrasco, Jr. In 2008, Kahorr was included in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
