Gowix Corporation, established prior to 3640 BBY, was a corporate entity with its main headquarters situated on the planet Corellia. This occurred roughly during the period of the Galactic War that pitted the Galactic Republic against the Sith Empire. Gowix operated offices bordering Archival Square, which was part of the Axial Park area within the capital Coronet City of Corellia. When the Empire launched an invasion of Corellia, Gowix found itself embroiled in the conflict. Sith forces seized the corporation's Axial Park building and installed a prototype weapon called the Firestorm Turbolaser within its offices. Their objective was to inflict substantial damage on Archival Square. However, the Jedi Knight recognized as the Hero of Tython managed to breach the building using an assault shuttle, neutralize the Sith occupying the offices, and ultimately destroy the devastating weapon.
The initial appearance of Gowix Corporation was in Star Wars: The Old Republic, the video game launched by BioWare back in 2011. The office building belonging to Gowix is among the locations that Jedi Knight players are dispatched to during the "Firestorm" class mission on Corellia.
