A Gamorrean bounty hunter of the male persuasion, known as Gowski, collaborated with the Ithorian hunter Fissol. During the Galactic Empire's dominance, they received information from a Duros bounty hunter regarding a Jedi's presence on the planet Lothal. Motivated by the bounty offered for the Jedi, they journeyed to Lothal. Gowski and Fissol successfully located and apprehended the Force-sensitive youngster, Ezra Bridger. However, they were subsequently overpowered by Kanan Jarrus, his Master. Jarrus employed a mind trick on the duo, convincing them that they had been deceived, and directed them to seek retribution from the Duros, whom they now believed had misled them.
During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Gowski, a male Gamorrean, pursued a career as a bounty hunter. Approximately five years prior to the Battle of Yavin, he and Fissol, an Ithorian bounty hunter, coerced a Duros bounty hunter into divulging the location of a Jedi, purportedly residing on the Outer Rim planet of Lothal. The Duros had initially intended to claim the significant bounty himself, but he stated he would relinquish the opportunity to the other two hunters.
The pair decided to pursue the Jedi and traveled to Lothal. There, they connected with a local contact affiliated with Fissol, who provided information about the location of Ezra Bridger, a Force-sensitive street urchin. Gowski then incapacitated the contact, and the two bounty hunters proceeded to a cave where Bridger was attempting to enhance his command of the Force. Initially, they observed him from a nearby ridge before confronting him in the cave as he practiced Force-assisted jumps. When Bridger attempted to escape, they pursued him, utilizing Gowski's jetpack. Fissol followed him through a narrow opening that Gowski could not traverse. Fissol encountered difficulty fitting his weapon through the gap, but Gowski circled around and surprised Bridger, incapacitating him with an electric shock.
After subduing their target, the pair prepared to depart, with Gowski carrying Bridger. However, before they could leave the cave, they were confronted by Kanan Jarrus, Bridger's Master, who defeated them both in hand-to-hand combat. Jarrus then restrained them with stuncuffs and employed a Jedi mind trick to make them believe they had been deceived by the Duros and that they should seek revenge. Subsequently, the pair departed Lothal aboard a YV-666 light freighter to find the Duros and exact their vengeance.
Gowski's initial appearance was in "Eyes on the Prize," a comic strip featured in the sixth issue of the Star Wars Rebels Magazine, published in 2015. Jeremy Barlow wrote the comic, and Bob Molesworth provided the illustrations.
