Fissol was a male Ithorian bounty hunter who partnered with the Gamorrean hunter, Gowski. During the Galactic Empire's time, a Duros bounty hunter revealed to the pair that there was a Jedi located on the planet of Lothal. They journeyed there hoping to collect the bounty offered for the Jedi. Fissol and Gowski successfully tracked down and captured Ezra Bridger, a local boy who was Force-sensitive. However, Kanan Jarrus, his Master, then defeated them. Jarrus used a mind trick on them, making them think they had been deceived, and directed them to seek revenge on the Duros they now believed had tricked them.
During the Galactic Empire's rule, Fissol, a male Ithorian, made a living as a bounty hunter. Approximately five years prior to the Battle of Yavin, he and Gowski, a Gamorrean bounty hunter, intimidated a Duros bounty hunter into sharing his knowledge of a Jedi residing on Lothal, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. The Duros had intended to claim the substantial bounty himself, but he claimed he would let the two other hunters take it.
The duo decided to pursue the Jedi and traveled to Lothal. There, they met with a local contact collaborating with Fissol, who provided information about the location of Ezra Bridger, a Force-sensitive street urchin. Gowski then incapacitated the contact. Subsequently, the two bounty hunters proceeded to a cave where Bridger was attempting to enhance his skills with the Force. Initially, they observed him from a nearby ridge before confronting Bridger within the cave as he practiced Force-assisted jumps. When Bridger attempted to flee, they pursued him using Gowski's jetpack. Fissol followed him through a narrow opening in the wall that Gowski was unable to pass through. Fissol became lodged while attempting to push his weapon through, but the Gamorrean went around and surprised Bridger, incapacitating him with an electric shock.
After subduing their target, the pair prepared to depart, with Gowski carrying Bridger. However, before they could exit the cave, they were confronted by Kanan Jarrus, Bridger's Master, who defeated both of them in hand-to-hand combat. Jarrus then restrained them with stuncuffs and employed a Jedi mind trick to convince them that the Duros had deceived them and that they should seek retribution. The pair then departed Lothal aboard a YV-666 light freighter and located the Duros to exact revenge.
Fissol had brown skin, green eyes, and lacked hair. Despite holding several misconceptions about Jedi, such as the beliefs that they aged in reverse, possessed exceptionally dense bones, and were capable of flight, he and Gowski were confident in their ability to capture one. The Ithorian's susceptibility to Jarrus's mind trick demonstrated his weak will.
Fissol utilized a translator collar to facilitate communication in Galactic Basic Standard. He carried a blaster rifle for combat and wore armor colored green and orange.
Fissol's debut occurred in "Eyes on the Prize," a comic strip featured in the sixth issue of Star Wars Rebels Magazine, which was released in 2015. Jeremy Barlow wrote the comic, and Bob Molesworth provided the illustrations.
