Great Houses
The six most affluent and influential families on the planet of Serenno were known as the Great Houses. The Demici and Nalju families are examples of these houses.
History
Early history
Loranda's family, including her son Hetton, had ties to House Demici.
During the Ruusan Reformation discussions, the Counts of Serenno initially sought neutrality, but this changed when Supreme Chancellor Tarsus Valorum was almost assassinated on their homeworld.
Cleansing of Serenno

During the Clone Wars, the Great Houses gave their support to Count Dooku and the Separatist cause. Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Palpatine dispatched Darth Vader to Serenno to carry out the Galactic Empire's retribution on the six ruling Houses, because they had sided with the Separatists during the conflict. In an event known as the Cleansing of Serenno, the five Counts (excluding Adan Dooku, who was in exile during the Clone Wars) were given a choice: be killed by their eldest sons, or be killed by the Sith Lord and his soldiers. Rodas Borgin was the first to kill his father, with the others following suit.
Dooku regency
After the assassination of Count Adan Dooku in 3 BBY, the Lords of the other Great Houses declined to appoint Lord Borgin as regent. Instead, the Lords of the Great Houses chose Lord Orom Malvern as the new regent, and Borgin's son, Pero, was named Lord of House Borgin.
