The Great Jedi Rumble Race During the time of the High Republic Era, the Jedi Order organized a recreational activity known as the Great Jedi Rumble Race. Jedi Masters Torban Buck and Kantam Sy, when they were still Padawans, originally organized the race on Endovar, but the custom eventually disappeared. In 230 BBY, the pair chose to revive it for the Padawans and other inhabitants of the Starlight Beacon space station as a means of alleviating the pressure from the current Nihil conflict. Anyone, not just Jedi, could join the race, and participants were allowed to use various forms of transportation other than running, as there were no regulations. Buck employed the Force just as a collection of Padawans neared the finish, securing victory for himself, a medal, and the top prize of sweets with added butter.
