The greater cake tree was a type of tree species found on the Outer Rim Territories planet of Saleucami. Its common name, "cake tree," derived from its layered structure, reminiscent of many cakes, where each successive layer decreased in size. Edible red fruit and green, herb-like foliage sprouted between these layers, serving as potential food ingredients. These trees were remarkably tall and possessed a substantial girth, blanketing much of Saleucami's landscape. Numerous starklebirds commonly sought refuge within their branches.
