Gwishi was a pirate of the Aqualish species and male gender. He was a Strike, a rank he held in Kassav's Tempest, which itself was part of the Nihil. This pirate had only three eyes remaining, as the lower right one was missing, replaced by blue scar tissue. Gwishi, together with Klinith Da, received orders to destroy the Steady Wing starship as it left Port Haileap outpost. While at Port Haileap, he disguised himself as a mechanic by donning orange coveralls. As the Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh, her ward Avon Starros, and the protocol droid J-6 were in the process of boarding the starship, Gwishi pretended to work on an access panel near the boarding ramp. Upon observing him, Rwoh experienced an inexplicable "spiky" warning through the Force, which she tried to ignore as she boarded the vessel.
