The Hand of Siberus was a gauntlet of the Sith, an ancient and prohibited relic that originated during the era of the Sith Wars. This Sith artifact was safeguarded by the Jedi Order within a vault located inside the statue known as the Final Protector on the planet Jedha. Its designation was the same as that of a legendary Sith figure, Darth Siberus. In 382 BBY, during the Battle of Jedha, the Sephi named Tey Sirrek acquired the gauntlet, and the Leveler of the Path of the Open Hand succumbed to its influence. The Jedi Vildar Mac's life was spared due to Sirrek's wielding of the gauntlet, although Sirrek experienced memory loss as a consequence.
