A concealed stronghold, overseen by the Jedi Order, existed inside the Jedi effigy called the Final Protector. This was situated in the Dunes of Contemplation found on the moon of Jedha during the High Republic Era. Circa 382 BBY, following the theft of the Rod of Seasons (a force_artifact and component of a set of rods used to govern the Nameless) from the Hynestian royal family by the Path of the Open Hand, the Rod of Daybreak (another rod from the set) was relocated to this vault from its former place, a museum also located on Jedha. Radicaz Dobbs, a smuggler, found out about the rod's transfer to the vault, and he shared this information with the Mother, the Path's leader. Subsequently, they devised a strategy for the Path to journey to Jedha with the aim of obtaining the rod. A Bogan Collection was stored within the vault.
