House Hirskaala was a business involved in trade, with its base of operations in Cularin. Its establishment occurred after the Trade Federation was forced to leave the Cularin system following the Trade Wars. Their business locations could be found in Gadrin, situated close to the town's central area.
Back in 31 BBY, Darin, who worked for House Hirskaala, was abducted by pirates who were wearing Hirskaala security uniforms they had taken. Not long after this kidnapping, a number of Hirskaala security personnel vanished; they had decided to become members of the Cularin resistance, one of whom was Nim'Ri, the person in charge of Hirskaala's security. While Nim'Ri was gone, Yaeger Doru took over as the head of security.
