A Trandoshan male named Nim'Ri, born on Cularin, worked as a security manager and fought for the resistance in the time leading up to the Clone Wars. In contrast to the majority of Trandoshans, Nim'Ri held no animosity towards Wookiees.
In the year 31 BBY, Nim'Ri held the position of security head for House Hirskaala, a security firm located on Cularin.
When Darin, an employee of Hirskaala, was abducted by individuals disguised as pirates in House Hirskaala uniforms, Nim'Ri aided a group searching for the missing employee.
One month later, Nim'Ri grew concerned regarding the activities of the Metatheran Cartel within the Cularin system. Subsequently, he vanished from his regular life and played a role in establishing the Cularin resistance. It's possible he assisted in deciphering the password to the secret base.
Nim'Ri rose to become a leader within the group, maintaining a strong conviction that their efforts represented the system's last hope. He served as a moderating influence, balancing the peaceful ideals of Gerta Haman with the Gungan warrior spirit of Broof Yurdel. Alongside them, Nim'Ri met some unexpected visitors, who may have been the same individuals who were seeking Darin a month prior. They were investigating the numerous disappearances as a favor to Jedi Master Lanius Qel-Bertuk. Nim'Ri and the others attempted to dissuade them from revealing any information about the Cularin resistance.
One month later, Nim'Ri was present at the base when the Cartel discovered its location and initiated an assault using a Caarite hit force. Nim'Ri assisted Yurdel in fighting the Caarites, but Gerta Haman sustained severe injuries during the conflict. Yurdel, deeply affected by this, desired to destroy the Cartel base with extreme force. Nim'Ri, however, believed Yurdel was acting recklessly and risked being killed in the attack. The Trandoshan, an expert in Caarite tactics, organized a portion of the attack, which included briefing allies to hack into the Cartel's computers. Later, he actively participated in the battle, jointly leading the troops with Yurdel in their assault on the Metatheran Cartel jungle base.
The battle resulted in a significant victory for the resistance, leading to the Cartel's withdrawal from Cularin. Governor Barnab Chistor of Gadrin honored Nim'Ri and the other resistance leaders and heroes. Following this, Nim'Ri resumed his former position at House Hirskaala.
In 21 BBY, when the Thaereian military appeared to overstep its authority in protecting the Cularin system, Nim'Ri resigned from his job and disappeared. While his friend Yurdel joined the newly formed Cularin Militia to establish a local defense force for the Cularin system, Nim'Ri was not seen with this group or anywhere else in the system. A rumor circulated that Nim'Ri had returned to his home planet of Trandosha; however, given that Nim'Ri was not born on Trandosha (and considering his reputation as a freedom fighter who would confront threats rather than surrender during difficult times), this rumor was clearly false. Some speculated that the Thaereians had secretly murdered Nim'Ri and then fabricated the false story.
