Hutta Town served as the capital for the city-planet Nar Shaddaa, which was a moon entirely covered in urban sprawl; an ecumenopolis. This location was characterized by immense tower blocks that pierced the brown and contaminated air above, and the gaps between these towers were filled with precarious skyslums. Neon signs and holo-displays provided the only light, and the skies were filled with transports that were not bound by docking regulations or engine pollution restrictions.
Waste removal was handled by garbage barges that traveled between the buildings, collecting refuse for paying customers. These patrons were indifferent to the fact that these barges frequently overflowed with dianoga-infested garbage that rained down on others; their only concern was removing the waste from their own vicinity. Grakkus, a Hutt crime lord, held dominion over this area during the Galactic Civil War.
