Huttsbane harbored a deep resentment for the Hutts' subjugation of his fellow Evocii, and as such, he fearlessly challenged Suudaa Nem'ro and the entire Hutt Cartel. He even infiltrated a palace, assassinating an unidentified Hutt. Nem'ro, who believed the Hutts were the Evocii's true overlords, sent an aspiring bounty hunter, hoping to gain sponsorship for the Great Hunt, to hunt down Huttsbane and return with his head as proof.
After battling through numerous members of Huttsbane's group in the village of Baratatta, the bounty hunter finally faced Huttsbane. At that moment, the village's Spirit-Leader tried to reach an agreement, detailing the Evocii's suffering and appealing to the hunter's moral principles.
Despite the Spirit-Leader's plea, the hunter fulfilled the terms of the contract, slaying Huttsbane and presenting his head to Nem'ro.
