Following the conclusion of the conflict, this facility was converted into a clandestine research station for the Galactic Empire; it was just one of several sites scattered across the galaxy that contributed to Project Celestial Power, an Imperial initiative focused on the research and development of components for the Empire's [superweapon](/article/superweapon], a mobile battle station that would eventually be called the Death Star.
