The wreckage of an Acclamator-class transgalactic military assault ship served as a somber reminder of a battle that occurred during the Clone Wars, where a number of Jedi Knights were ambushed. During the time of the Imperial Era, Commander Orson Krennic's team of engineers was stationed at an Imperial facility on the planet, engaged in weapons development for the Galactic Empire. The research station met its end in 18 BBY, obliterated by Star Destroyer turbolasers. Sheev Palpatine later gave the order for the Cosinga-class Heavy Corvette known as Imperialis to be built above Hypori.
