Baktoid Armor Workshop

The Baktoid Armor Workshop functioned as a design firm, primarily responsible for manufacturing a significant portion of the weapons, vehicles, and droids employed by the Trade Federation during the Invasion of Naboo. Later, they supplied the Confederacy of Independent Systems with similar equipment during the Clone Wars conflict against the Galactic Republic.

History

Originally, the Baktoid Armor Workshop was a component of the Trade Federation's holdings. It operated as a subsidiary of both Baktoid Industries and the Techno Union. Baktoid Combat Automata was its sister company. Baktoid Armor produced a variety of items, including weapons, droids, land-based vehicles, and spacecraft. The Single Trooper Aerial Platform, the Armored Assault Tank, the Multi-Troop Transport, and the super tank are examples of vehicles they manufactured.

The DSD1 dwarf spider droid and OG-9 homing spider droid are examples of droids designed by Baktoid; these were deployed alongside the battle droids of the Confederacy's military forces. Furthermore, they produced the E-5 blaster rifles utilized by the B1-series battle droids and BX-series droid commandos within the Confederacy. The firm also developed the Hyena-class Droid Bomber, which was based on the design of the vulture droid starfighter. The Confederacy navy employed both of these. Xanadu Blood, the personal Rogue-class Porax-38 starfighter belonging to the bounty hunter Cad Bane, was also a product of the Workshop.
