The super tank, a name given to the Separatist super-tank prototype, represented the peak of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' efforts to engineer an innovative tank design throughout the Clone Wars. Its formidable defenses, incorporating thick plating and ray shield technology, rendered it impervious to all known weaponry. This emphasis on protection resulted in a vehicle that was slow-moving, but exceptionally resilient. Baktoid Armor Workshop produced these tanks, which saw their initial combat deployment in the Second Battle of Geonosis.
During that battle, the entire deployment was annihilated when a bridge, which had been rigged with explosives by Jedi operatives Anakin Skywalker and Luminara Unduli, gave way. The remaining prototypes met their end when padawans Ahsoka Tano and Barriss Offee of the Jedi Order utilized the armaments of a captured tank to obliterate the Geonosians' droid factory. Despite being within the factory at the time of its destruction, the two padawans lived, shielded by the tank's robust construction.
