In the year 18 BBY, the Galactic Empire established a base on the moon known as Raada. This installation was comprised of soldiers' living quarters (barracks), areas designated for walkers dating back to the Clone Wars, and a prefabricated building originating from the Republic. The various parts of this military facility were brought down from a Star Destroyer, and the complete base was then constructed on the surface.
