During the Clone Wars, the Republic Military utilized these structures, enabling Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, a commander who fought for the Republic during the conflict, to commit the typical prefab building's design to memory. The Empire, which superseded the Republic, incorporated uniform resources into its military, continuing to operate prefab buildings of a design originating from the Clone Wars within the Outer Rim Territories until at least one year following the conclusion of the galactic war in 19 BBY.
Each Resurgent-class Star Destroyer belonging to the First Order military carried a prefabricated ground base. This base was stored in multiple components close to the Star Destroyer's hangar and was designed for swift deployment.
