The Imperial Court, alternatively referred to as the Emperor's Court, represented a unified assembly of highly-ranked Imperial officials closely associated with the Emperor. Court members held positions as the Empire's political, military, and social elite.
In the initial Galactic Empire, the membership encompassed figures like Grand Vizier Sate Pestage, the Imperial Advisors (including those serving on the Imperial Ruling Council), high-ranking bureaucrats such as Grand Moffs and Moffs, Imperial ministers, leading military figures from Imperial High Command, the Select Committee of COMPNOR, the Ubiqtorate (including the Director of Imperial Intelligence), and the Grand Admirals. The Court also included members of the nobility (Imperial Lords and Barons), influential business leaders and tycoons, individuals from the Emperor's Dark Side Adepts (such as the Prophets of the Dark Side/Emperor's Mages and Imperial Inquisitors), and the Emperor's Hands. Prior to its dissolution, members of the Imperial Senate were permitted to participate in the Emperor's Court.
Notable figures included Grand Admiral Rufaan Tigellinus, Imperial Advisor Alec Pradeux, Grand Moff Traeda, and Moff Vilim Disra, among others.
During the Liberation of Coruscant, various Rebel partisans launched a raid on the Imperial Palace, lynching any Imperial Court members they encountered. This included the President of the Bureau of Punishments, the head of the Emperor's School of Torturers, the court's clothing designer, and numerous other minor servants of varying ages, genders, and species, irrespective of their actual involvement in the Empire's atrocities. Leia, reflecting on this event, also mentioned that the identities of many victims were never even recorded.
