Approximately around 3643 BBY, General Kolvin of the Imperial Reclamation Service received an assignment from the Sith Emperor to be the mission leader of this base. Its location was deliberately chosen near an old complex linked to Darth Revan, with the goal of uncovering the complex's hidden knowledge.
The video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, which was launched by BioWare in 2011, features the Imperial Special Ops Center. It is depicted as a component of Nar Shaddaa's Upper Industrial Sector.
