Imynusoph, a celestial body in the Outer Rim Territories, could be found at location J-21 on the Standard Galactic Grid. It marked the final destination of the super-hyperroute called the Hydian Way, linking it with the astronomical entity Terminus.
The first mention of Imynusoph within the contemporary Star Wars canon occurred on a galactic chart featured in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game. This boxed set, part of Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars Roleplaying series, was released in 2016. The world of Imynusoph initially appeared in the Star Wars Legends continuity through a reference to the Temple of Imynusoph. This reference was part of the "Galaxywide NewsNets" section in the thirteenth issue of Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine by West End Games, which was published during May of 1997. Peter Schweighofer was the author of this section. Later, in 2009, the reference work The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry established Imynusoph as a separate and unique world.
