The Intruder, serving as the flagship for the Bakuran Defense Fleet, was a light cruiser of the Namana-class.
As with other vessels in the Fleet, the Intruder was provided to the New Republic in 18 ABY amidst the Corellian Crisis. During the following Battle of Centerpoint Station, the Intruder sustained critical damage inflicted by a pair of robot ramships. Admiral Hortel Ossilege, who commanded the ship, and Gaeriel Captison, formerly the Prime Minister of Bakura, initiated the vessel's self-destruction protocol. While the entire crew perished with the Intruder, its detonation successfully annihilated a Sacorrian fleet and stalled the remaining Corellian units, allowing Admiral Ackbar's fleet to reach the battle and secure a New Republic victory.
