The criminal organization known as the Ivax Syndicate, a clandestine operation headed by Voras, a Hutt, began its activities in the Ivax Nebula, which gave the syndicate its name. They primarily conducted their business within the confines of the Anoat sector. While their involvement in illicit activities such as underground gambling, racing events, and brutal blood sports was common knowledge, their real strength was derived from their widespread control across the entire sector of Anoat. It was suspected that they served as a recruitment and support network for the Red Key Raiders.
After Lando Calrissian successfully liberated Cloud City and regained his position as Baron Administrator, the Ivax Syndicate dispersed from Cloud City. They were now free from the blockade that had restricted their movements within the Anoat sector. Calrissian opted not to chase after them, deciding instead that he would address the situation if they ever returned to Cloud City.
