Admiral Ivernus served as the top-ranking officer of the Sith Empire on Balmorra throughout the duration of the Cold War. Possessing sharp intellect, Admiral Ivernus inspired reverence among those under his command. He oversaw the fighting from afar, his attention divided by other Imperial engagements, yet he maintained vigilant observation. Ivernus received the Empire's most prestigious honor for his strategic planning during Balmorra's initial invasion, and despite the subsequent stalemate, his reputation continued to grow, remaining aboard his vessel in Balmorra's orbit. He became a target during the Great Hunt and was ultimately killed by a young hunter. This hunter, aided by Mako, identified a vulnerability through Major Pirrell, who sought assistance in undermining his superior and gaining Ivernus's favor. Pirrell tasked the Hunter with missions across Balmorra to achieve this goal, eventually succeeding in drawing Ivernus away from the safety of his warship. However, to Pirrell's astonishment, Ivernus intended to execute him for his failures, before Pirrell's Cathar slave, Murghir, was revealed as a competing bounty hunter also pursuing Ivernus. The Hunter managed to eliminate both Murghir and Ivernus simultaneously.
The Hunter subsequently made the decision to kill Pirrell as he attempted to flee.
