J930 Dash-8 engine

The J930 Dash-8 engine represents a Podracer engine manufactured by JAK Racing in the time before the Invasion of Naboo. Ebe E. Endocott, a Triffian Podracer pilot, famously employed blue J930 Dash-8 engines in the Boonta Eve Classic that saw Anakin Skywalker's victory in the year 32 BBY. Subsequently, in 22 BBY, Raido, a Devlikk racer, utilized these engines during the Mon Gazza Maze competition, which took place on the planet Mon Gazza. His Podracer met its end when he crashed into a competitor from behind.

Characteristics

The Dash-8 J930 was a reliable and sturdy podracer model. It had excellent grip and turning capabilities, a balanced rate of acceleration and maximum velocity, along with an effective cooling and repair system. Although its braking system was somewhat lacking and the pod's overall speed was relatively low, Ebe E. Endocott's expertise allowed him to secure three successive championships on Malastare, achieve 4th place in the Boonta Eve Classic of 32 BBY, and become a fan favorite at the well-known Fire Mountain Rally race track located on Baroonda.
