Jackson Farseeker, a retired captain within the Imperial forces, held the position of grandfather to Jill Farseeker. During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Farseeker journeyed alongside his granddaughter and her father, Roark Garnet, on board Garnet's freighter, the Dorion Discus.
Jackson Farseeker, a male Human, once served the Galactic Empire, attaining the rank of captain before his retirement. He fathered a daughter who, through a relationship with the smuggler Roark Garnet, gave birth to his granddaughter, Jill. At some point during the Galactic Civil War, Farseeker and Jill encountered Garnet, who had limited contact with his daughter. They found themselves traveling together with him and the bounty hunter Tantos Dree aboard his freighter, the Dorion Discus. As they departed the planet Thorgeld I, the Dorion Discus received a hail from the Imperial Customs Frigate Assessor, demanding they halt for a customs inspection. Dree emphasized the necessity of concealing his presence from the Empire, prompting Garnet to initially attempt to deceive the Assessor into allowing their passage. When this failed, Garnet initiated evasive maneuvers. During this time, Farseeker dedicated himself to plotting a jump to hyperspace to facilitate the Dorion Discus's escape. After an exchange of fire between the two ships, Farseeker successfully calculated the course, enabling the ship to jump to lightspeed.
Later on, an individual named Farsten attempted to negotiate with Farseeker for the acquisition of a mysterious alien artifact known as the ou'tranoi, offering 100 credits in exchange. Farseeker adamantly refused to sell it at any price, firmly believing that the device was crucial for the success of their mission. Subsequently, Farseeker encountered a tentacled alien within a cantina and departed in their company. Seven hours later, Roark Garnet entered the cantina in search of him. Garnet compensated the aliens with credits to refresh their memory regarding their encounter with Farseeker.
Despite his past service to the Empire, Jackson Farseeker displayed no loyalty to the institution by the time the Galactic Civil War had begun. He freely associated with smugglers and bounty hunters, and willingly defied Imperial customs regulations. He presented himself as pompous yet fatherly, and possessed the ability to chart courses for navigating ships through hyperspace.
In 1987, Jackson Farseeker was featured in several example scenarios within Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, a publication of West End Games.
