During that year, his past resurfaced when Ketsu Onyo, a bounty hunter, arrived at his residence with the intention of eliminating him. Fortunately, Jarret's partner and child successfully persuaded Onyo of his genuine transformation. The bounty hunter spared the ex-killer's life, departing only with his ripped garment to fabricate evidence of his death at her hands.
