The Jedi Masters Streen and Kirana Ti founded the Jedi Praxeum on Dathomir following the conclusion of the Yuuzhan Vong War. Its purpose was to aid in the post-war recovery following the Yuuzhan Vong's subjugation of the planet, in addition to providing training for the local population to become Jedi Knights.
During the Second Galactic Civil War, Darth Caedus's actions of taking the Ossus Jedi Academy as hostage forced the Jedi Order to evacuate all staff and students from the Jedi Praxeum of Dathomir to a base located on Endor. The Dathomiri Praxeum was still abandoned as of 43 ABY.
