Streen, an aged Jedi Master belonging to the New Jedi Order, began his life as a tibanna gas prospector hailing from the planet of Bespin. Endowed with a potent, yet untrained, Force empathy, Streen was perpetually impacted by the emotions and thoughts of those nearby. Consequently, he sought isolation from sentients, managing his own private mining endeavor within the deserted metropolis of Tibannopolis. In 11 ABY, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker located him, following indications of a Force-sensitive gas prospector. Skywalker proposed assisting Streen in mastering his abilities and reintegrating into society. Streen accepted, accompanying Skywalker to the newly founded Jedi Praxeum situated on Yavin 4. During his training, Streen encountered the long-deceased spirit of Dark Lord of the Sith Exar Kun, who swayed several of Skywalker's pupils, Streen included, to carry out his directives. However, Streen successfully resisted the Sith Lord's sway and collaborated with his fellow students to eradicate Kun's spirit.
Eventually, Streen ascended to the rank of Jedi Knight and played a role in defending the Jedi Academy from attacks launched by the Galactic Empire. As a Jedi Knight, Streen participated in the mission to Corbos with the objective of vanquishing a Leviathan that had brought devastation to a city on the planet. By 16 ABY, Streen had achieved the rank of Jedi Master, and during the Black Fleet Crisis, he was designated as the acting head of the Jedi Academy during Master Skywalker's temporary absence. By the time the Yuuzhan Vong War erupted, Streen was still serving the Jedi Order on Yavin 4 as an instructor, though he became more deeply involved in the conflict after the capture of Yavin 4 by the Yuuzhan Vong invaders. He participated in the final engagement of the war, which culminated in a Jedi victory over the invaders. In the aftermath of the war, Streen joined Kirana Ti and Damaya on a journey to the planet Dathomir to establish a Praxeum, and he was also present at the Funeral of Mara Jade Skywalker.
Streen, a Human male originating from Bespin, was a tibanna gas prospector, leveraging his Force capabilities to detect tibanna gas eruptions. His undeveloped Force-sensitivity enabled Streen to anticipate the imminent eruption of gas-rich clouds, facilitating their siphoning. While the primary Bespin mining operations relied on computerized satellites for cloud detection, Streen consistently arrived ahead of competitors, employing a makeshift floating platform to extract the gas. Due to his uncontrolled Force-sensitivity, he was constantly inundated with the thoughts and feelings of other sentients. The Galactic Empire's takeover of Bespin amplified Streen's discomfort due to the residents' panic and fear. This prompted him to seek solitude in the abandoned floating city of Tibannopolis, where he found companionship with the rawwks, airborne creatures indigenous to the planet. Streen was aware of his Force-sensitivity, and on one occasion, he compelled the most intelligent of his rawwks to perform a dance for him. Disturbed by the experience, Streen ceased attempting to manipulate the rawwks after this single experiment.
Reports of Streen's activities eventually reached Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, who was in the process of reestablishing the Jedi Order. Recognizing that Streen's precognitive abilities indicated a degree of Force-sensitivity, Skywalker journeyed to Bespin in 11 ABY, specifically to the city of Tibannopolis, to present his proposition to Streen. By this time, Streen was an elderly man with graying hair. During their meeting, Skywalker was accompanied by Gantoris, another Force-sensitive individual who had agreed to undergo Jedi training. Skywalker validated Streen's Force affinity by delving into the older man's mind, eliciting a Force-sensitive response to his probing. Despite the requests from Gantoris and Skywalker for Streen to join them, Streen was hesitant. To demonstrate the potential powers that Streen could acquire under his tutelage, Skywalker showcased his Force abilities by manipulating the rawwks and teaching Gantoris to do the same. Persuaded by this display, Streen agreed to accompany them, drawn by Luke's promise to impart mental discipline, enabling him to tolerate the presence of other sentient beings. As they prepared to depart Bespin, Streen released his floating platform into the winds, declaring that he would not be returning.
As Skywalker had yet to establish a training facility, the group proceeded to Imperial City on Coruscant. While there, Streen was overwhelmed by the multitude of sentient minds in the galactic capital. Seeking respite from their thoughts, he requested a secluded place to stay, and Skywalker provided him with a room at the summit of an abandoned skyscraper, replicating his living conditions on Bespin. Given the immense population of Coruscant and Streen's inability to filter out their thoughts, Skywalker realized that he could not establish his Jedi Praxeum on that world, and they commenced their search for a more suitable planet. When Skywalker was summoned to address a matter on Kessel, his sister, Minister of State Leia Organa Solo, oversaw Streen and Gantoris. During this period, Streen became acquainted with Organa Solo's children, Jacen and Jaina, who were also Force-sensitive. Eventually, Organa Solo and Skywalker selected Yavin 4 as a place of study, and Streen and Gantoris departed Coruscant for the new training facility. Upon their arrival, Streen and Gantoris aided Skywalker in repairing and renovating the abandoned temples to serve as future living quarters and training centers. They also cleared the brush and foliage surrounding the Great Temple to create space for landing starships. Skywalker briefly left Yavin 4 and returned with another student, Tionne, aboard her ship, Lore Seeker. Skywalker informed the pair that Tionne was a Jedi historian and would be invaluable in their future studies. As their work progressed, Streen and Gantoris explored the jungles of the planet, mapping them out for future training exercises. During their explorations, they discovered the Temple of Exar Kun and the power emanating from it. Unbeknownst to Streen, Gantoris surreptitiously pilfered several lightsaber crystals from the temple.

Alongside Gantoris, Streen was joined by ten additional Jedi hopefuls, including Kirana Ti, Dorsk 81, Kam Solusar, Tionne Corran Horn, Kyle Katarn, and Brakiss, forming the inaugural class of the Jedi Academy. As their lessons commenced, Streen maintained an open mind, approaching the lessons with curiosity and humor, which aided other students, such as Corran Horn, in more readily accepting the teachings. One of their initial lessons involved conjuring Force illusions, a skill already mastered by Horn. However, in the subsequent lesson on telekinesis, Horn displayed less proficiency, and Streen sensed his frustration and anger. When Gantoris mocked Horn for his failure, Streen also perceived the animosity between the two men. Later, Streen connected with Horn over his failures, encouraging him by pointing out that Gantoris had already received some training from Skywalker, giving him an advantage.
As the lessons continued, Horn employed the Force to convince his fellow students that he had mastered telekinesis, creating a Force illusion of himself lifting a large boulder. However, Skywalker revealed the deception to the rest of the class, which intrigued Streen. A later lesson focused on utilizing the Force to protect oneself from harm, using a hot spring for practice. Despite his fear of potential burns from the heat, Streen and the other students used the Force to create a barrier against the hot water. However, upon returning to telekinesis training, Gantoris revealed that he had constructed a lightsaber from the stolen crystals and challenged his teacher to a duel. Shocked by Gantoris' audacity, Streen and the other students stepped back to observe the fight, which Skywalker won by telekinetically disarming Gantoris. Unbeknownst to Streen, Gantoris had been corrupted by the spirit of the deceased Dark Lord of the Sith, Exar Kun, following their visit to the temple. After the duel, Gantoris succumbed entirely to the power of the dark side, which consumed him from within, charring his body with dark side energies and resulting in his death. The remaining students and Skywalker discovered Gantoris' corpse, and Streen was repulsed by his death, terrified by its cause.

Despite Gantoris' demise, the remaining students persisted in their training, eventually joined by three new students: Mara Jade, Kyp Durron, and the Mon Calamari Cilghal. However, Kun remained present and attached himself to Kyp Durron, who had demonstrated considerable promise as a Jedi student. Kun seduced and corrupted Durron with promises of aiding in the destruction of the Galactic Empire. Skywalker initiated lessons on Jedi history, allowing the students to listen to tales of ancient Jedi through a recovered holocron, but Durron, armed with knowledge from Exar Kun, vociferously disagreed with the stories, presenting a sympathetic portrayal of the Sith to the other students. Skywalker was troubled by the knowledge Durron had acquired, and when Durron absconded from Yavin 4 in a Z-95 Headhunter stolen from Mara Jade, the students were concerned by the loss of yet another member. Despite the turmoil, Streen remained dedicated to his training and found himself working closely with another student, Kirana Ti, listening to Jedi ballads about their history and embarking on journeys into the jungles of the moon for exploration and training.
While the students were asleep in their quarters, Kyp Durron returned to Yavin 4 on a mission to retrieve the Sun Crusher, a superweapon concealed on the planet Yavin Prime. Skywalker awoke and confronted Durron, but with the aid of Exar Kun's power, Durron defeated Skywalker, striking him with Force lightning and rendering him comatose. The following morning, Tionne discovered Skywalker's body and informed the students, who were eating in the dining hall. They rushed to his fallen body and attempted to revive him, but found him unresponsive, unable to sense his presence within his body. With their teacher incapacitated, the remaining students united to protect Skywalker from whatever had attacked him. Kirana Ti suggested establishing an honor guard to protect Skywalker at all times. Organa Solo arrived with her children to care for her brother. Upon her arrival, Streen revealed that the "Dark Man," Exar Kun, had been communicating with him in his dreams and invading his thoughts. The students, fearful of Exar Kun's powers, began to contemplate abandoning the Jedi path, but Organa Solo reprimanded them, reinvigorating their devotion to the Jedi path. They resolved to continue training together and protect Skywalker from Kun's presence. Just as they had recommitted themselves, the students sensed the Destruction of Carida and the deaths of everyone on the system. Streen was profoundly affected, the deaths of those on Carida overwhelming his mind and briefly incapacitating him.

The students began to rotate shifts watching over Skywalker's comatose form, held in the Grand Audience Chamber, safeguarding their master from any attack. Under this duress, Exar Kun influenced Streen during his watch, convincing the Jedi student that Skywalker was, in fact, the "Dark Man" and that Streen needed to eliminate him. Streen employed his Force powers to manipulate the weather, conjuring a Force storm to kill what he believed to be a threat. Streen attempted to lift Skywalker through the temple roof and cast him to his death. Organa Solo arrived and seized her brother, but Streen lifted her and her children into the air as well. However, before Streen could complete his attempt, Kirana Ti arrived in the chamber to stop her friend. Corran Horn, who accompanied her, projected an image of the room being empty into Streen's mind, delaying his attack and allowing Ti to breach Streen's defenses. Streen was tackled to the ground and his arms pinned behind his back. With Kirana Ti holding him down, Streen emerged from his trance, distraught over being manipulated by Kun and nearly killing his master. Although the other students were enraged with Streen, Ti defended her friend, believing that he was innocent of consciously attacking Skywalker. However, Horn kept Streen under close watch, suspecting that Exar Kun would use him again to attack Skywalker. Horn attempted to tempt Kun into making another attack by including Streen in repairs of the Z-95 Headhunter and teaching him about piloting it. Hoping that Kun would seize control of Streen so they could trap him, Horn modified the starfighter to shut down if anyone attempted to attack the Great Temple. However, Kun did not take the bait.
Following Streen's attack, the students discovered that they could communicate with Skywalker's spirit, which had been separated from his body. Now assured that their master was still alive, the students gathered in the war room to devise a plan of attack against Exar Kun. The group agreed to collaborate to counteract Kun's darkness with a wall of light. During their meeting, Kun exploited his ties to Streen to eavesdrop on their meeting, but Horn modified the tendril of information, injecting a sense of hopelessness about their plan into Kun, rendering him overconfident and severing the connection he had with Streen. Once Kun had ceased listening, Horn presented his fellow Jedi students with a plan of attack, informing them that they would counteract Kun's darkness with the light.
Although the other students were reluctant to include Streen in their plans, concerned about how Kun had manipulated him in the past, Kirana Ti vouched for his inclusion. To atone for his earlier failure, Streen insisted on being allowed to watch over Skywalker. Streen was given Skywalker's lightsaber and stationed next to Skywalker's comatose form. As planned, Kun appeared to Streen, attempting to persuade him to attack his master. When Streen refused, the other students appeared to attack Kun. Kirana Ti, wielding Gantoris' lightsaber, prevented Kun's spirit from escaping. Kun attempted to strangle Streen with the Force and manipulate him into attacking his fellow students, but Streen was able to use the Force to resist and fight past Kun's attacks, also assisting his fellow students in fighting Kun's stranglehold. The Jedi students combined their powers to construct a wall of light, trapping their enemy. They were joined by the spirits of Skywalker and Exar Kun's former master, Vodo-Siosk Baas. As Kun attempted to lash out at them, Streen and Ti crossed their lightsabers across Kun's form, shattering his spirit. As the damaged fragments of Kun attempted to reach out and infect the Jedi, Streen used the Force to manipulate the wind, scattering the remnants of Kun out of the temple and into the vastness of space. With the "Dark Man" destroyed, Skywalker returned to his body, proud of his students for defeating their enemy. Streen continued to train on Yavin 4 after their victory, discovering that the weather control he had developed under Exar Kun's influence remained with him. Streen continued to hone this skill, realizing that he could feel and control the weather.
Shortly thereafter, a fellow Jedi student Dal Konur turned to the dark side and set out to massacre the Imperial Remnant's Council of Moffs. He impersonated Streen on a number of planets to disguise his activities.

In 12 ABY, Kyp Durron, Dorsk 81, and Cilghal were promoted to Jedi Knight, and Streen attended the ceremony where Skywalker presented the new Jedi Knights to the rest of the Jedi Academy. Shortly afterward, the Empire launched an attack above the moon in an attempt to eradicate the Jedi Academy. At the time, Streen and the other Jedi students were making repairs to the Temple of the Blueleaf Cluster, as the Jedi trainees had exhausted the available space in the Great Temple. As they employed the Force to remove rubble and broken slabs, they were interrupted by the arrival of Dorsk 81 and Kyp Durron. The two Jedi Knights informed their fellow Jedi about the imminent Imperial attack. The Jedi prepared to fight, but before they could formulate a plan of attack, TIE fighters, TIE bombers, TIE landers, and Ground Assault Vehicles commenced attacking their position.
During the Empire's initial airstrike, Streen avoided being hit when Kirana Ti used the Force to push him behind a slab of stone. When Ti began to use the Force to hurl rubble at the attacking TIE fighters, Streen and the other trainees followed her example to defend themselves. As a second wave approached, the Jedi retreated back to the Great Temple. Tionne attempted to establish communications with the New Republic, but their signals were jammed by the Empire. With no other option, the Jedi prepared to defend their home. In the war room, Dorsk 81 suggested pooling their energies through him to push the seventeen Imperial-class Star Destroyers that were deploying Imperial troops onto the moon out of the system. Dorsk 81 made his way to the top of the temple, and augmented by the powers of the temples on Yavin 4, the Jedi channeled their powers through the Jedi Knight. In the same manner that they had combined their energy to defeat Exar Kun, Dorsk 81 was empowered sufficiently to telekinetically push the Star Destroyers out of the system. All of the Jedi were physically drained by the attempt, and the concentrated energy overwhelmed Dorsk 81's body, resulting in his death.
Master Skywalker and his lover Callista Ming arrived shortly thereafter to organize the Jedi defense and inform the Jedi of the appearance of the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Knight Hammer, which had arrived to complete the attack. The Jedi agreed to spread out and attack the Imperials while awaiting New Republic military reinforcements. Streen and Ti joined forces and concealed themselves in a thicket nearby as Imperial troops advanced on the Great Temple. Streen used his abilities to topple All Terrain Scout Transports, and Ti attacked with her lightsaber. The two Jedi collaborated to eliminate as many Imperials as possible, utilizing the terrain to their advantage. The battle was ultimately won when Callista, who had hijacked a TIE bomber from Imperial forces, infiltrated Knight Hammer and destroyed the ship's engines. The Knight Hammer plunged into the heart of Yavin Prime, destroying it and securing victory for the New Republic and the Jedi.

Following this attack, Streen was elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight and assigned as one of the few Jedi available for missions to aid the galaxy. When Skywalker was informed of a disturbance on the planet Corbos, he dispatched Kyp Durron and another Jedi trainee, Dorsk 82, to investigate, while Streen and the other new Jedi Knights trained and awaited their opportunity to embark on their own missions. However, while they continued to train at the academy, they received word from Durron and Dorsk 82, requesting assistance on Corbos. Streen and Ti boarded a starship and departed Yavin 4 to provide aid. Upon their arrival, they discovered Dorsk 82, who informed them that they had discovered a dangerous beast that had decimated Corbos Mining City. Durron was engaged in combat with the creature, and Streen, Ti, and Dorsk 82 boarded an overlander and raced to their friend's aid.
Upon arriving at the site where Durron had last been seen, the group descended into the mines where the creature had emerged. During their exploration, they discovered a large group of Leviathan larvae, the precursors to the beast that had wiped out the colony. The larvae attacked the group, but they repelled them, employing the Force and their lightsabers. The group continued to search for Durron, sensing him on the other side of the mine, and after climbing their way out, they found Durron next to a Leviathan, having slain it in battle. However, the Leviathan he had defeated was only a juvenile version, and a full-grown Leviathan appeared. The Jedi worked together to drive the beast back, but it remained unaffected, and they were forced to attack it with their lightsabers. During the struggle, the Leviathan fell into the mines, plunging into a lake of magma below. However, the creature was still alive and continued its attack, blindly throwing lava. However, Dorsk 82 devised a plan to defeat the Leviathan, utilizing a generator placed in the mines. As Streen and the other Jedi distracted the creature, Dorsk 82 activated the generator, electrocuting the creature when it bit into the metal cables attached to it. Successful in their mission, the Jedi returned to Yavin 4. Their efforts on Corbos were celebrated as a major victory, remembered even many years later. During the Disciples of Ragnos crisis, Streen was dispatched with Tionne to investigate locations, from which the Disciples may have siphoned Force energy.

In the year 14 ABY, Streen was still a fixture at the Jedi Praxeum, recognized as a seasoned Jedi. Master Skywalker tasked him with the challenging assignment of translating ancient tablets known as the Books of Massassi. These tablets unveiled the Massassi people of Yavin 4's deep-seated feelings of inadequacy and their yearning for perfection, which ultimately made them susceptible to Exar Kun's dark side influence. The translation process proved to be exceptionally difficult. Two years later, in 16 ABY, Streen had only managed to begin work on the sixteenth book. By this time, Streen had earned the title of Jedi Master and was summoned to Temple Atun to meet with Master Skywalker and discuss his progress on the tablets. However, the meeting served a dual purpose. Skywalker, sensing a weakening connection to the Force, had decided to take a leave of absence from the Academy. He appointed Streen as the temporary leader during his absence, a responsibility Streen accepted with some reluctance. Streen had noticed Skywalker's growing distance from his students and encouraged him to depart in order to revitalize his Force connection. Skywalker announced his departure to the academy and introduced Streen as their interim leader. That evening, as Skywalker meditated atop the Great Temple, Streen was the sole witness to his departure in an E-wing escort starfighter.
Following his master's leave, Organa Solo contacted the academy, but Streen remained tight-lipped about Skywalker's reasons for departing, only informing her that he lacked insight. Shortly after, General Lando Calrissian arrived on Yavin 4 to retrieve Skywalker's droids, C-3PO and R2-D2, for a clandestine mission. Despite not having spoken with Skywalker, Calrissian falsely claimed that the Jedi Master had authorized him to take the droids, and Streen permitted their departure with Calrissian. Throughout his travels, Skywalker maintained contact with Streen, who kept him informed about the academy's status. Streen also attempted to notify Skywalker about Calrissian's acquisition of the droids, but Skywalker did not respond. Streen was unable to reach Calrissian after his departure, as he was trapped aboard the Teljkon Vagabond.
By 17 ABY, Skywalker had returned to the Jedi Praxeum, and Streen resumed his role as an instructor. When Skywalker abruptly left Yavin 4 to address the Almanian Uprising, Streen was once again placed in command. He received calls from Calrissian, who was trying to reach Skywalker, and relayed the details of his master's departure for the galactic capital.

During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Streen attended the Conclave on Yavin 4 to discuss strategies for dealing with the Yuuzhan Vong invaders. Streen was among the Jedi who supported Luke Skywalker's approach over Kyp Durron's more aggressive tactics. Alongside Corran Horn, Streen spoke out against Durron and his followers, including Wurth Skidder, advocating for a more cautious approach to the invaders. As the war progressed, the Yuuzhan Vong conquered the planet of Obroa-skai, threatening the Jedi Academy. Streen requested that Skywalker return to Yavin 4, which was being overseen by himself, Kam Solusar, and Tionne Solusar, who had married Kam in the intervening years. However, Streen was instead asked to join Skywalker on Coruscant to discuss a new development. Upon arrival, Master Skywalker informed the group about two potential Yuuzhan Vong defectors, the Priestess Elan and her familiar Vergere, who were offering information about the illness afflicting Skywalker's wife, Mara Jade Skywalker. Despite his skepticism, Streen agreed with the other assembled Jedi to meet with the Yuuzhan Vong as a group to prevent any possible treachery. However, before the meeting could take place, Han Solo revealed that Elan was a double agent tasked with assassinating the Jedi, and his actions resulted in the Yuuzhan Vong's death.
Soon after, Streen participated in a discussion between Anakin and Jacen Solo concerning the potential use of Centerpoint Station as a weapon against the Yuuzhan Vong. The conversation was interrupted by the arrival of information broker Talon Karrde, who had come to discuss gathering intelligence on the possibility of Hutt Space collaborating with the invaders. The Jedi consented to assist in gathering information on this potential development. In 26 ABY, the Yuuzhan Vong launched an attack on the Jedi Praxeum, confirming Streen's fears. However, the assault occurred while Streen was on Corellia with Peckhum, acquiring supplies for the academy. The Jedi students, aided by Anakin Solo and Talon Karrde, successfully evacuated the moon. Shortly thereafter, Streen joined forces with other Jedi to locate the voxyn queen. He specifically examined the logs of the captured ship Sweet Surprise, which had been used to smuggle voxyn, for any inconsistencies. The combined efforts of the Jedi, particularly scientist-healer Cilghal, identified Myrkr as the location, leading to the mission to Myrkr. Streen sided with Jacen Solo in opposing the mission, but it ultimately proceeded, achieving success at a great cost. In 28 ABY, Streen was considered for a position on the Master's Council, but Jedi with a greater inclination towards action were favored.
During the Battle of Yuuzhan'tar, Streen was among the Jedi who served aboard vessels in the Galactic Alliance fleet. There, Streen participated in the Force meld to assist in coordinating the allied forces. Following the war's conclusion, Streen attended the Conclave on Zonama Sekot, where he listened to Master Skywalker's address on the state of the Jedi Order following the war's losses. Streen, Damaya, and Kirana Ti informed Skywalker of their intention to travel to Dathomir to assist in rebuilding efforts. Together with his fellow Jedi, Streen established a Jedi Praxeum on the planet to train the native witches in the ways of the Jedi.

In 40 ABY, Tionne Solusar interviewed Streen about his role in the defeat of Exar Kun, and his account was included in her historical compilation, Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force. He was later present at the Funeral of Mara Jade Skywalker, standing beside Ben Skywalker as he grieved his mother's death.
Streen possessed a reserved and introspective nature, deeply influenced by his connection to the Force. His Force-sensitivity allowed him to perceive the emotions and desires of those around him, making it difficult for him to be in crowded environments due to the constant influx of sentient thoughts. When the Empire seized control of Cloud City, the heightened stress and chaos of the inhabitants made it unbearable for Streen to remain. He was compelled to abandon the city and live as a recluse. For approximately eight years, Streen lived in solitude, accompanied only by rawkks. Although he experienced loneliness, he grew accustomed to his solitary existence. By 11 ABY, Streen was approaching old age, and his once-brown hair was streaked with gray, resulting in a creamy hue. Furthermore, his time spent flying through the clouds of Bespin had given his skin a weathered appearance, the consequence of years of exposure to strong winds that dried out his face.
As a prospector, Streen typically wore a well-worn jumpsuit adorned with numerous pockets for storing prospecting tools. Upon leaving Bespin, Streen emptied most of these pockets, vowing never to return. While on Coruscant, he declined an offer of fresh, warm clothing, preferring to wear his jumpsuit. However, upon commencing his training on Yavin 4, Streen donned a brown Jedi robe like the other Jedi students. Streen continued to wear his prospector's helmet during his training, including on the mission to Corbos. By the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War and the Second Galactic Civil War, Streen had abandoned the helmet, opting for a simple cap.

Streen possessed a remarkable Force empathy, enabling him to experience the sensations and thoughts of others continuously, to the point of being overwhelmed. While residing on Bespin, Streen's inability to manage this power led him to avoid human contact, seeking refuge in the deserted settlement of Tibannopolis. The promise of gaining control over this ability motivated Streen to accept Skywalker's offer of training on Yavin 4. The impact of this ability on Streen was diminished if those around him had control over their thoughts. Moreover, children, with their simpler thoughts and motivations, had a lesser effect on Streen's mind. Streen eventually mastered this ability, learning to block out the thoughts of those around him.
Streen excelled at Alter Environment, particularly creating Force storms, an ability that came naturally to him. Streen also possessed some skill in precognition, allowing him to sense impending gas cloud eruptions on Bespin, enabling him to arrive first and siphon the gas before other miners. During his period of isolation, Streen once used the Force to make one of his pet rawkks dance for him, but he immediately felt remorseful, believing that this ability drew upon the dark side of the Force. Corran Horn believed that Streen's brief connection to the dark side had allowed Kun to access Streen and possess him. By 16 ABY, Streen could levitate himself using the Force, employing this ability to descend from Temple Atun. During his battle with Exar Kun, Streen wielded Luke Skywalker's lightsaber to defeat the Dark Lord of the Sith, returning the weapon to its owner after Skywalker awoke from his coma. Streen later constructed his own lightsaber (equipped with a small compartment for storing imperial credits) and used it during the mission to Corbos to attack the Leviathan.
Although Streen is not directly mentioned in the novel Legacy of the Force: Inferno, an illustration in the sourcebook Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force depicts him among a group of Jedi Masters standing behind Saba Sebatyne as she delivers a eulogy at the funeral of Mara Jade Skywalker, an event that occurs within the pages of Inferno. Artist Chris Trevas included Streen because the picture required more figures than the Jedi specifically named in the book, and the text's ambiguous reference to "Jedi Masters" accompanying Sebatyne justified Streen's presence.
