A small pool could be found nestled within the garden of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, a planet located in the Core Worlds. In the year 22 BBY, Sheev Palpatine, the Supreme Chancellor and secretly the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, paid a visit to the garden. There, he employed the dark side of the Force to subtly coerce Sabé, a former handmaiden to request the return of her employer, Padmé Amidala, the Senator of Naboo, to Coruscant. He then left her near the pool. Subsequently, despite the most dedicated attempts of the Temple's horticultural staff, the water in the pool vanished and could not be replenished.
Within the Jedi Temple of the [Jedi Order](/article/jedi_order], in a garden on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant, was a petite, shimmering pool. When sunlight touched its surface, the pool's gently flowing water would glisten.

Not long after the beginning of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Jedi Order convened a war briefing in the garden for members of the Galactic Senate. Both Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine and Sabé, a former handmaiden of Naboo Senator Padmé Amidala, attended the briefing. Sabé was secretly impersonating the senator while she was away on a secret mission.
Palpatine, who was secretly the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, quickly identified Sabé's deception and singled her out during the briefing. During their conversation, he used the dark side of the Force to subtly influence Sabé, prompting her to request Amidala's return to Coruscant. Disturbed by the interaction, yet unaware of the reason, Sabé sought solace on a bench beside the pool after Palpatine departed. After deciding she could not continue to act as Amidala, Sabé gazed at the pool to regain her composure before leaving. Later, the pool's water vanished, defying all attempts by the Temple gardeners to replenish it.
The 2022 young-adult novel, Queen's Hope, penned by E. K. Johnston, makes mention of the pool.
