Jenny, a female human hailing from Mos Espa on the desert planet Tatooine, found employment as a B-girl at Chalmun's Cantina in Mos Eisley during 0 BBY. She engaged in flirtatious behavior with Han Solo, a Corellian smuggler known for having romantic interests in numerous spaceport locations, during his occasional visits to Tatooine. On one particular day, Jenny chose to sit on the smuggler's lap as he awaited updates from Taggart regarding a shipment of glitterstim spice. From their table, they observed a fight break out in the bar, during which an old man brandished a lightsaber at an Aqualish pirate to protect his young protégé. When Solo's first mate, the Wookiee named Chewbacca, joined them, Jenny came to the realization that the Corellian couldn't even recall her name, mistaking her for another woman he'd been involved with. Feeling insulted, she retaliated by throwing the remaining contents of his drink in his face before leaving in anger. During her time in the cantina, she engaged in conversation with a Rodian.
Jenny's initial appearance occurred in the 1977 motion picture Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, where she was brought to life by Jenny Cresswell. Despite her scene with Han Solo being omitted from the final version of the film, she can still be spotted conversing with a Rodian in the cantina within widescreen editions of the movie. Although Cresswell's portrayal featured dark hair, Jenny is described as having light hair in A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy.
