Troopers with Jetpacks were a specialized type of trooper within the Alliance to Restore the Republic. These soldiers utilized jetpacks, enabling them to fly over obstacles and engage enemies directly. The most fearless rebel soldiers were chosen to become Jetpack Troopers. The Alliance also deployed infantry units using jetpacks, known as rocket-jumpers, as another type of aerial assault force.
Jetpack troopers are featured in the 2014 Star Wars: Commander mobile game and can be played as characters in the 2017 video game Star Wars Battlefront II.
