A Human male Mandalorian named Jicoln Cadera spearheaded the Crusader's schism, a breakaway group that pledged allegiance to the Galactic Republic. He stood in opposition to Mandalore the Vindicated, who supported the Sith. Initially, it was believed he was killed when the Crusader's schism met its end. However, this turned out to be untrue. Upon learning this, Mandalore placed a bounty on him via the Blacklist, leading to his pursuit by the galaxy's most skilled Bounty Hunters. Despite this, Jicoln proved to be an exceptionally difficult target. He went into hiding on Taris, where he successfully avoided capture for almost ten years. Becoming deeply connected to his surroundings, Jicoln turned Taris itself into a weapon. Sometime during this period, Jicoln slew the Sith Lord Darth Shattra on Taris, keeping the Sith Lord's skull as a macabre trophy. Cadera had a son; his name was Torian. As the bounty hunters continuously gave up or met their demise in pursuit, it became widely accepted that Jicoln was uncatchable. Consequently, the hunt for Jicoln evolved into more of a tradition than a serious endeavor, with each new Great Hunt Champion undertaking the hunt as their inaugural Blacklist assignment. At the onset of the Galactic War, however, Jicoln encountered his match when the most recent winner of the great hunt, assisted by Jicoln's own son, Torian, took on the hunt. Recognizing the Champion as a potentially worthy adversary, Jicoln challenged the hunter to the "Game of Annihilation," a Mandalorian trial where the loser not only faced death but was also believed to have their legacy and all memory of their existence completely erased.
While Jicoln was attempting to assassinate the Champion, Torian managed to locate his father and launch a surprise attack at his base camp within the ruins of the Endar Spire. Unaware of Torian's identity as his son, Jicoln inflicted severe injuries upon him before escaping. However, Jicoln himself sustained wounds and was compelled to establish a new camp elsewhere, where he was confronted by the Champion. Jicoln criticized the Champion for allowing an amateur (Torian) to attempt to eliminate him, suggesting that the hunter and Mandalore were content to sacrifice younger individuals for their own purposes. Following his defeat, Torian appeared and revealed his identity as Jicoln's son. Ultimately, Jicoln met his end either at the hands of the hunter, his son Torian, or by being frozen in carbonite and delivered to Mandalore, thereby fulfilling the oldest outstanding contract on the Blacklist.
