Josh Rimes is currently the Vice President of Animation Development and Production at Lucasfilm Ltd.. He started at Lucasfilm in December of 2015 as a Creative Executive in the Lucasfilm Story Group. During this time, he was also a development executive for both Star Wars Rebels and LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures. Furthermore, he served as an associate producer for Star Wars Forces of Destiny and The Freemaker Adventures until March of 2018.
In April, Rimes' role changed to Director of Animation Development. He then took on the roles of associate producer and co-producer for Star Wars Resistance Season One and Star Wars Resistance Season Two, respectively. Rimes also developed and produced LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars, produced Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures, was an associate producer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, developed and executive produced The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, produced Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and executive produced Star Wars: Visions. In December of 2021, Rimes was promoted to Vice President, Animation Development and Production, his current position. He worked as an executive producer on the animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.
