Jowres Zaprin, known as Jowy by his sister Mia, was a Human male residing on Naboo with his family during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Jowres Zaprin made his home at the secluded Zaprin Estate, situated within the Gallo Mountains of Naboo, alongside his father Larence, his mother, and his sister Mia.
In the year 1 ABY, the Zaprin family's residence was besieged by a group of diseased narglatches and motts. Jowres, along with his sister Mia, ventured outside to assess the situation, only to be attacked by the frenzied creatures. Both siblings sustained injuries from the animals, leading to a serious infection. Alarmed, their father urgently requested assistance, which resulted in a medic dispatched by the 2-1B droid Billingsly arriving at the Zaprin Estate. Initially, the medic attempted to treat Mia, but the treatment proved ineffective. Subsequently, the medic bravely eliminated several of the wild beasts surrounding the house. By analyzing blood samples taken from the creatures' bodies, the medic successfully formulated an anti-toxin. After receiving injections of this new medicine, both Jowres and Mia made a full recovery from the infection within a week.
Within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game crafted by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts before it shut down on December 15, 2011, Jowres Zaprin appeared as a non-player character. The character of Jowres Zaprin was integrated into the game with the introduction of "Publish 25," also referred to as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
Players could encounter Jowres Zaprin in an isolated structure nestled within the Nabooian Gallo Mountains, situated to the southeast of the Lake Retreat. He played a role in the "House Call" quest, specifically designed for players pursuing the Medic profession. While Jowres Zaprin's appearance was subject to randomization during each server reset, he was consistently portrayed as a male Human.
