Billingsly, designation 2-1b-58, functioned as a 2-1B surgical droid. He is remembered for his service aboard Tansarii Point Station during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Following the events of the Battle of Yavin, Billingsly's operational base was Tansarii Point Station, situated within the Bright Jewel system. During that assignment, he was stationed in the medical bay of Tansarii Point Station, where he collaborated with Doctor Aja Sen and the nurse Alisia, providing medical care to the station's injured and ill inhabitants.
By 1 ABY, the medical challenges on Tansarii Point Station had escalated significantly. This was due to the presence of predatory creatures in the station's atrium, as well as the activities of Hutt criminals in the lower sectors. Furthermore, conflict arose between the Car'das, who controlled Tansarii Point Station, and the Rak'qua residing in the adjacent Station Gamma. This conflict resulted in a surge of casualties requiring medical attention, overwhelming the station's medical personnel.
Around that period, a medic, accompanied by Han Solo and Chewbacca on the Millennium Falcon, arrived at Tansarii Point Station. Solo suggested that the medic, who was seeking employment, visit the station's medical bay. The medic's initial task was assisting Aja in treating a mechanic who had sustained burns while repairing a starfighter. Subsequently, the medic was dispatched to address a medical crisis on the station's lower levels. An incident had occurred in Storage Room 01, resulting in a technician being poisoned by excessive smoke inhalation. Billingsly successfully formulated an antitoxin, enabling the medic to effectively treat the injured technician. As a token of appreciation for the assistance rendered to the medical staff of Tansarii Point Station, the droid presented the medic with a Polis Massan bracelet and a medic's uniform.
Subsequently, even after the medic's departure from Tansarii Point Station, Billingsly would occasionally solicit the medic's assistance during medical emergencies. When a firefight erupted between criminals in Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine, Billingsly contacted the medic on behalf of Administrator Nillika of the Mos Eisley Medical Center. Consequently, the medic aided in the treatment of injured civilians caught in the crossfire. Sometime later, Billingsly received an urgent call from Larence Zaprin on Naboo. His family living in the Gallo Mountains had been attacked by wild animals, and his son and daughter were suffering from an infection. The medic was ultimately able to identify the toxin responsible for the disease and created a cure to treat the siblings.
Billingsly existed as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game crafted by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Billingsly's inclusion in the game was part of the "New Player Tutorial," that was implemented with the release of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
Should a new player select the Medic profession, Han Solo would instruct them to speak with Billingsly upon their arrival at Tansarii Point Station. Billingsly's initial request would be for the player to consult with Aja Sen. Following the completion of her assigned task, Billingsly would dispatch the player to the lower levels to assist an injured individual. Upon successful completion of these tasks, the droid would reward the player with 100 credits, a Polis Massan bracelet, and a Standard Issue Uniform Package (containing medic pants, a medic shirt, medic shoes, and a medic vest).
