K-344, known by the nickname Kurti, was a droid who played guitar for the band called Star Waver. Having previously been abandoned, K-344 discovered her purpose through music. Although she possessed a calm nature and a commanding voice, she preferred to communicate through her guitar playing.
Even though Kurti was not one to speak frequently, she displayed assertiveness and authority when the situation demanded it. For example, she prevented Jay from simply sulking after Geezer Odajion was taken captive by Boba Fett, instead insisting that the former Padawan assist in repairing their ship.

K-344 made an appearance in "Tatooine Rhapsody," a short film within the Star Wars: Visions anthology series. The short was directed by Taku Kimura, produced by Studio Colorido, and made available on Disney+ on September 22, 2021. Masayo Fujita provided her voice in the Japanese version, while Shelby Young voiced her in the English version. K-344's image was first revealed in the initial preview trailer for Visions on July 3, 2021, and she was formally identified in the cast list that was published on StarWars.com on August 17.
