K-9X1

K-9, also known as K-9X1, was a droid employed by the Galactic Empire at the Mount Tantiss installation located on the planet Wayland. This particular droid possessed a yellow sensor and carried a stun baton. K-9X1's primary duty involved the management of the lurca hounds serving the Empire; however, the responsibility of feeding these hounds was given to the clone Omega. When Omega observed that the lurca hound LH-201—whom she had fondly nicknamed "Batcher"—was hurt, K-9X1 explained that the hound had been injured during its routine night patrol and was scheduled for termination. Omega's request for assistance from the droid for Batcher was denied, with K-9X1 citing its non-medical designation as well as the violation of its programming protocols. Discovering later that Batcher's termination had proceeded despite her attempts to treat the hound's injury, Omega retaliated by subduing K-9X1 and destroying its lower body using a crate, after which she freed Batcher. However, the droid had already contacted security personnel.

Subsequently, K-9X1 was reconstructed, only to be permanently destroyed by blaster fire from the clone Crosshair as he fled Mount Tantiss alongside Omega. This droid utilized a electrobaton and a datapad for its duties.
