Kaibe was a Chiss slicer of the male gender who existed during the time of the Galactic Civil War. He was employed by the pirate leader Nym, operating from Nym's Stronghold located on the planet Lok.
Cybernetics had replaced his original torso.
When the renegade assassin droid IG-88 seized control of Nym's Factory Compound with the intention of manufacturing droids to fuel his Droid Revolution, Nym sought the assistance of a proficient spacer to thwart the droid's scheme and expel him from the factory. Kaibe, having already formulated a strategy, became the spacer's contact.
Kaibe directed the spacer to the Bothan siblings Galody and [Tupit], who had previously conducted reconnaissance on the compound belonging to Tao-Ni Security on Endor, the entity responsible for the factory's security. Upon the spacer's successful return with the required components, Kaibe employed his skills to remotely infiltrate the factory compound's security infrastructure. He then integrated the spacer's retinal patterns into the system, granting the spacer and their allies access via the factory's retinal scanners.
Kaibe functioned as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game, developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Kaibe's inclusion in the game coincided with the "IG-88" Heroic Encounter, which was introduced through the "Chapter 7" update on November 1, 2007. The player, after interacting with Nym's Envoy, was instructed to meet with Kaibe, who subsequently dispatched them to Endor to complete missions for Galody and Tupit. Following the return to Lok and a conversation with Kaibe, the player gained entry to the heroic instance.
