The Jedi Training Center, situated on the planet of Kamparas, functioned as an academy for the Jedi Order during the time of the Galactic Republic. Alongside the Coruscant Jedi Temple and the Great Jedi Library on Ossus, the Kamparas center was regarded as a crucial Jedi establishment by members of the Order.
The Jedi Order founded the Kamparas facility before the [New Sith Wars].(/article/new_sith_wars) It gained recognition for its focus on data collection and preservation. The academy, which housed many Jedi Lore Keepers, frequently hosted clans of Jedi Initiates from the Coruscant Temple for specialized instruction.
In the final years of the Republic, the academy was home to some of the most brilliant minds of that period. Jedi Master Yaddle made this facility her primary residence when she was not on Coruscant, and oversaw the academy's educational activities. Padawans such as Jorus C'baoth and Lexia Ginorra studied there and later performed great deeds for the Order. During the Separatist Crisis that preceded the Clone Wars, the facility drew attention when it received a shipment of Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptors purchased with taxpayer money, and later during the "Baby Ludi" custody case. During the highly publicized debate surrounding the Order's acquisition of Aris-Del Wari, also known as "Baby Ludi", without the mother's consent, the Order relocated the clan to which the child belonged.
According to notes made by Darth Sidious in his stolen copy of The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, the Kamparas facility was one of many that he managed to locate and secure during the Great Jedi Purge after discovering its location within the Jedi text. The Galactic Empire later reached an agreement with the Bounty Hunters' Guild, allowing members of the guild to utilize the facilities as a training center.
